Major Highlights announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi:
1) Homes to the poor
- Pradhan Manthri Awaas Yojana in urban areas loans upto 9 lakhs will receive 4% interest and the loans upto 12 lakhs will receive 3% interest.
- Loans for houses or extension of houses upto 2 lakhs will receive 3% interest
2) Agriculture Sector
- Farmers who have taken loan from District Cooperative Central Bank and Primary Societies will not have to pay such interest for 60 days. those who have paid the interest will receive the same amount through Bank Account.
- Kisan Credit Cards will be given Rupay debit cards within three months
4) Small and Medium scale Industries
- In order to boost the employment Small and Medium scale Industries are encouraged.
- Limit of 1 Crore loan is extended upto 2 Crores
- Loans may be arranged through Banks and NBFC's as well
- Tax relief to small businesses
5) Pregnant Women
- New scheme will be launched Rs.6000/- assistance will be given for institutional delivery.
6) Senior Citizens
- Senior Citizens will recieve 8% interest rate for deposits upto 7.5 lakhs for a deposits of 10 years.
